Roma Rap directed at Sarkozy

This ironically popped up on a French news podcast the day after our related discussion in class. The band is called VAMA and they are from Romania (http://www.vamamusic.ro/). The song also features a French rapper, Raflo.

The song/video is directed at Nicolas Sarkozy, the president of France, in regards to the law that was instated a few months ago, banishing illegal Romani camps from the country. This was a response to a violent uprising of about 50 Romani youth, after a 22 year old French Romani man was shot dead while he drove through a police roadblock.

  1. I just wanted to point out the "No Man's Land" sign they hung up on the fence in the video.
